Park Place MRI’s response to COVID-19
SWI CLINICAL
SWI CLINICAL APPLICATIONS
Developed For Detecting Post Concussion Syndrome
MTBI (Mild Traumatic Brain Injury) or DAI (Diffuse Axonel Injury)
Micro Hemmorrhage From Traumatic Brain Injury or Stroke
Overall improved detection of hemorrhage in the brain
SWI (Susceptibility Weighted Imaging) is able to see what conventional MRI pulse sequences miss!
SWI (Susceptibility Weighted Imaging) was developed to better diagnose brain injuries. These additional pulse sequences and the post-processing of the images have the ability to show what conventional MRI pulse sequences do not show. SWI has been shown to be useful for detecting a number of conditions including (but not limited to):
Post-Concussion Syndrome
DAI (Diffuse Axonel Injury)
Definitive Brain Hemorrhage
MTBI (Mild Traumatic Brain Injury)
Micro-Hemorrhages from a Traumatic Brain Injury
Other Neurological Conditions (pathological and non-pathological in nature)
SWI has been in use in very few centers throughout the United States throughout the last decade and now Park Place MRI is able to provide this valuable service to its patients.
